Build from the editing workflow
I started with a task I knew well: repeatedly placing effects in music-video edits. Audio analysis gives the tool timing and energy cues from the song.

Automate the repetition. Keep the rhythm.
I built AutoVFX from my experience editing music videos. It analyzes music and helps place visual effects on a Premiere Pro timeline, reducing repetitive work while leaving creative decisions with the editor.
Effects should follow the music. Quiet passages need space; high-energy moments can carry more impact. I designed the controls so editors can decide how often effects appear and how dense the edit becomes.

Editors choose how frequently shakes, whips, hits, and flashes appear. Density settings help shape the overall effect placement.
I connected the controls and audio analysis to Premiere Pro, placing effects on dedicated tracks that editors can review and refine. The product is packaged with a macOS installer.
